Abstract
The malacological fauna of basis bed of Flour site indicates a very watery forest environment. Palynological investigations on upper Flour and Périgoite stratigraphies have revelated a mediterranean woodland with some persistant exotic species. With its geological and paleontological characteristics, the inferior level of high terraces may be dated to a pre-mindelian period, before the first big glaciation of Southern Alps.
