Abstract

The early Cretaceous of Estremadura containsthree levels with active bioaccumulations of Coelenterates or Rudists, during the hauterivian, bedoulian and albian stages. Their biological, sedimentological and morphological characteristics are described and surrounding ecosystems analysed. We see more particularly a gradual decrease of Cnidaria during eocretaceous and a correlative spread of Rudists.
