Abstract
Due to the rapid growth of global population, humans cause destruction to nature increasingly. The environmental loss is always irreversible. Nevertheless, scientific knowledge and technology are incapable to make these misfortunes avoidable. When exploring ways to deal with hidden catastrophes, there is a necessity to revert back to the theoretical level, which requires a reference made to the great environmental ethics of the pioneer Aldo Leopold, who has a widespread influence and made outstanding contribution to environmental preservation. In this paper, the author probes the land ethics apply to environmental education. Different from the previous analysis of single issues, this paper summarizes the application of earth ethics in environmental education in a horizontal way. The brilliance of his theory has always provided enlighten to environmental education.
