Length-weight characteristics of the late instar larvae of the chironomid species common in the Upper Volga basin

Abstract

Extreme values of body lengths, wet weights, and widths of head capsules, along with the mean wet weights of the 3rd and 4th instars, of chironomid larvae are given for the species and groups most common in the Upper Volga basin.
