Abstract

Eka Sari Village is a village located in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province. The situation of the Hindus in this village still needs to get guidance, namely in order to increase the sraddha and devotional knowledge of the Hindus in this village. Hindus in this area who are Hindus of Balinese ethnicity, from their original state until now have experienced degradation both in terms of quantity and quality. The main factor that causes is the occurrence of religious conversion. Based on this background, the problems discussed in this study are: 1) What is the condition of Hindus in Ekasari Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency?, 2) What factors cause religious conversions? In general, this study aims to increase knowledge and information related to the factors or causes of religious conversion in Ekasari Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency so that later the best solutions can be taken to improve guidance in the village. The research that the writer did was descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, to analyze it, the writer uses data analysis by describing the implementation process and systematic integration in the form of interviews, field notes and other materials. The results of the research in this study are that the condition of Hindus in Ekasari village is still relatively minimal in terms of religious knowledge and understanding of Hindu religious teachings. The significant decline in the number of Hindus was caused by several factors, one of which was the transition of religion. The transition of religion in this village was caused by education. based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that Hindus in Ekasari village needed coaching as an effort to increase Hindus' knowledge and understanding of Hindu religious teachings, moreover community leaders and traditional villages as the closest institutions to Hindus at the village level have not been able to provide what is needed by the people, namely guidance related to religious teachings
