Abstract

Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China is the first Chinese law to strengthen marine environmental control and protect the marine environment as well as an effective weapon to combat all kinds of criminal activities that pollute and harm the sea environment. The implementation of this law is of great significance in preventing pollution of the sea, preserving the marine ecological equilibrium, rationally exploiting and utilizing marine resources, and promoting the all-round development of marine undertakings.
