Abstract
The Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (hereafter referred to as the Marine Environmental Protection Law) adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress came into effect on March 1, 1983. This is an important law to strengthen the control of our country's marine environment and develop marine undertakings.
