Abstract
This is the first in a series of four articles dealing with the legal concerns of the rehabilitation counselor. The first -article covers the basics of the legal system and its implications for the practice of rehabilitation counseling. In the next three issues of the Journal articles on client rights, confidentiality, and liability will appear.
