Abstract
Our video demonstrates the technique of carotid to carotid and subclavian to carotid bypass with vertebral artery transposition. It also highlights the importance of transcranial Doppler monitoring during the procedure. Transcranial Doppler monitoring highlights the change in blood flow to the cerebral vasculature, in particular, that of the middle cerebral artery when the carotid artery was clamped.
