Abstract
An hypothesis is proposed of a causal connection between supraventricular tachycardia and left posterior hemiblock (LPH). The idea arose from the discovery of four patients with an ECG pattern compatible with LPH during a follow-up examination of twenty-two patients with supraventricular tachycardia. The hypothesis is supported by statistical consideration and by comparison with the re-entry phenomenon found in conduction delay within the A-V node.
