Abstract

LEED spectra from the (001) surface of ITTiSe 2 are measured and calculated for various diffracted beams including off-normal electron incidence. Normal incidence data confirm former work concerning the potential model and the surface relaxation. Slight deviation from normal incidence causes pronounced variations in the calculated spectra yielding a better understanding of the experimental results. The effect of distinct off-normal incidence was examined for the (00) beam.
