Abstract

This research is a qualitative research which aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of online learning at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo as an effort to suppress the spread of Covid-19 in the school environment. The research subjects were students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Data were collected by direct interviews. The results showed that: (1) students have taken turns learning online at home and offline (2) online learning has flexibility in its implementation and is able to encourage the emergence of independent learning and motivation to be more active in learning; and (3) distance learning encourages the emergence of social distancing behavior and minimizes the appearance of student crowds so that it is considered to reduce the potential for the spread of Covid-19 in the school environment.

Pendahuluan

Sejak merebaknya pandemi yang disebabkan oleh virus Corona di Indonesia, banyak cara yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk mencegah penyebarannya. Salah satunya adalah melalui surat edaran Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi No 1 tahun 2020 tentang pencegahan penyebaran Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) di perguruan tinggi. Salah satu bentuk pembelajaran alternatif yang dapat dilaksasnakan selama masa darurat Covid-19 adalah pembelajaran secara online. Menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan internet dan teknologi multimedia mampu merombak cara penyampaian pengetahuan dan dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dalam kelas tradisional.[3]. Pembelajaran online pada pelaksanaannya membutuhkan dukungan perangkat-perangkat mobile seperti telepon pintar, tablet dan laptop yang dapat digunakan untuk mengakses informasi dimana saja dan kapan saja.[4] Penggunaan teknologi mobile memiliki kontribusi besar di dunia pendidikan, termasuk di dalamnya adalah pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran jarak jauh.[5] Berbagai media juga dapat digunakan untuk mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran secara online. Pembelajaran secara online bahkan dapat dilakukan melalui media social seperti Facebook dan Instagram [7]
