Abstract
AbstractWhitish blisters covered by a hymenium layer were found on the leaves of two Ericaceae plants, Vaccinium japonicum and Rhododendron lagopus var. niphophilum, in Shiramine, Ishikawa, Japan. Based on the morphological characteristics and molecular phylogenetic analyses, the pathogens found in V. japonicum and R. lagopus var. niphophilum were identified as Exobasidium rostrupii and Exobasidium yoshinagae, respectively. This is the first report of E. rostrupii and Exobasidium leaf blisters in two plants in Japan.
