Leadership integrity and its impact on proactive work behavior, a case study of the Palestine Technical College in Deir El-Balah

Abstract

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى استقامة القيادة وتأثيرها بأبعاد (العدالة، العقلانية، الثقة، الرحمة، التسامح) على سلوك العمل الاستباقي (تحمل المسؤولية، صوت العامل، الإبداع الذاتي، الوقاية من المشاكل) من وجهة نظر العاملين في كلية فلسطين التقنية بدير البلح، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع العاملين في كلية فلسطين التقنية بدير البلح، وطُبقت الدراسة عليهم باستخدام أسلوب الحصر الشامل، حيث تم استخدام نماذج قوقل في توزيع الاستبانة على جميع أفراد مجتمع الدراسة البالغ عددهم (186)، وتم استرداد (166) استبانة، أي ما نسبته (89.25%) من مجتمع الدراسة، وتم استثناء العينة الاستطلاعية التي شملت (30) فرداً، وكان عدد الاستبانات التي تم تحليلها (136). وقد أظهرت النتائج وجود تأثير ذي دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) لاستقامة القيادة على سلوك العمل الاستباقي في كلية فلسطين التقنية بدير البلح. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة الاهتمام باستقامة القيادة كونها الوسيلة الأنسب في دعم قدرة القيادة على خلق سلوكيات العمل الاستباقي بصورة إيجابية تحافظ على الكلية. Abstract The study aimed to recognize the integrity of leadership and its impact on the dimensions of (justice, rationality, trust, Compassion, Forgiveness) on the behavior of proactive work (taking responsibility, worker voice, self-creation, prevention of problems) from the point of view of workers at Palestine Technical College in Deir El-Balah. The study used descriptive analytical approach, and the study population consisted of all employees of the Palestine Technical College in Deir El-Balah. The study was applied to them using the Complete Census, Google models were used in distributing the questionnaire to all members of the study community of (168) employees, the Number of (166) questionnaires were retrieved, the retrieval rate was (89.25%) of the study population. The exploratory sample that included (30) individuals was excluded, and the questionnaires that were analyzed were (136). The results showed that there was a statistically significant effect at the significance level (α≤0.05) of leadership integrity on the proactive work behavior at Palestine Technical College in Deir El-Balah. The study recommended the necessity of paying attention to the integrity of leadership as it is the most appropriate way to support the leadership’s ability to create proactive work behaviors in a positive manner that preserves the college.
