Abstract
The analysis through Fourier's spectre of an image from Spot satellite made possible a more thorough analysis of the land survey of the territory surrounding l'Escala (Catalonia, Spain) where the chora of the city of Emporion used to be. A Greek phase and a Roman phase are discernible but also an unknown system of measure which, if it is not medieval, may be Iberian, previous to or contemporary with the Greek settlement.
