Abstract
In a previous paper the application of the LCAO interpolation method to crystal electrons in homogeneous magnetic fields of moderate strength has been described. In the present paper this method is tested for a crystal type which is of general interest. A simple model of the valence band of Germanium is constructed and the highest energy levels are calculated. The magnetic field is assumed in [001] direction. The results can be compared with the Luttinger-Kohn results.
