Abstract
This paper describes sample preparation on a FIB based X-section for junction delineation and decoration of deposited layers (bare or packaged dice). To our knowledge, the delineation of the buried layers has never been the subject of a specific approach. The goal of our study is to introduce a simple technique that can be easily used to decorate FIB cross-sections for SEM observation.
