Abstract
AbstractA study of the lattice dynamics of cuprite at the centre of the Brillouin zone is made and the force constants and the effective charge deduced. The energies of the optically inactive phonons are calculated and their symmetry determined. The symmetry of the upper valence band of the crystal is identified.
