Abstract

We overview the present status of lattice QCD (Quantum Chromodynamics) simulations. Although it is still far from the final goal, the lattice QCD is reaching a level to have a predictive power as a first principle study for the strongly interacting elementary particles, hadron. This is due to many improvements of techniques and rapid development of computational power. We then look into the hot spot of the calculation explicitly. Finally we discuss what kind of achievement can be expected by using Peta-flop computers.
