Abstract

Abstract Non — stoichiometric thin films Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O were produced by Molecular Beam Epitaxy technique from four independent metal sources on MgO substrate and investigated by X-ray diffraction. Structure, texture, phase composition and electric properties of films were studied. Phase composition depends on CuO/(SrO+CaO) ratio and electric resistance — on Bi 2 O 3 /(SrO+CaO+CuO) one. 2201–2212 phase interaction was found in the multiphase films. It consists in intergrowth of phases in (008) 2201 −(0010) 2212 planes and ‘forcing’ of 2201 structure to the 2212 phase. The possible way of such interaction is a creation of vacancies of Ca and Cu in (OOL) planes of 2212 phase.
