Abstract
A modified angular force model which takes into account the effect of electron-ion interaction on the basis ofSharma andJoshi model along with the ion-ion central andde Launay type angular interaction, has been applied to investigate the phonon dispersion curves, vibrational spectrum and specific heat of platinum. The calculated results show satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
