Abstract
We present the model of interaction between the electrons inside a ferromagnetic-normal metal-ferromagnetic trilayer sample and the high intensity short pulse laser light. The incident electromagnetic field of laser on sample surface perturbs the Boltzmann distribution function determined by the electron–electron and electron–photon collision terms. The numerical results confirm that the laser pulse can influence significantly on the electron distribution function and as a consequence, the giant magnetoresistance.
