Abstract
Abstract Optical hyperfine structure and isotope shift measurements have been performed on Xe + , Ba + and La + -ions using an electromagnetic mass separator for the preselection of the isotopes by fast ion beam laser spectroscopy. The different measuring techniques used are described and their precision and sensitivity are discussed.
