Abstract

High-resolution studies have been performed in the Sm I spectrum using the laser-atomic-beam technique. Computer fits to the observed line structures yield precise values for the hyperfine constants of excited states, for the isotope shifts of all natural isotopes, and for the relative changes of nuclear charge radii.
