Abstract
Hitachi constructed the largest helium liquefier in Japan in 1968. Its capacity was confirmed 150l/h as liquefier and 500W as refrigerator. The 500 hours continuous operation was concluded successfully early in 1969.The features of the plant are as follows.(1) Turbine inlet pressure is high (14.5kg/cm2g).(2) Turbine circuit pressure is the same as liquefaction circuit pressure.
