Abstract
A method is outlined for making large epoxy relief-peels in unsaturated or water-saturated sediments. The making of the peel, which is made from vertical cuts in trenches, involves a minimal amount of equipment and only two to three hours curing time. The resulting relief-peel is large in size, shows excellent clarity of both large and small stratification features, and is quite adequate for grain and shell orientation studies.
