Abstract
Objective To evaluate the feasibility and practicality of laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation(RFA) for special site hepatic hemangiomas. Methods From January 2009 to January 2013,12 patients with special site hepatic hemangiomas underwent laparoscopic RFA therapy under general anesthesia, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) was performed simultaneously for gallstones in 2 patient and for abutting of gallbladder from hemangioma in 1 patient. Results Laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation was donewell in all patients.Neither residual lesion nor postoperative complication was observed. Conclusions Laparoscopic RFA therapy is a feasible, safe, and effective treatment modality for special site hepatic hemangiomas and it can offer more accurate target for RFA and reducing RFA-related complications.
