Abstract

A 2-week-old female presented with a solitary congenital hepatic cyst that progressively increased in size. At 7 months of age, laparoscopic deroofing of the cyst was undertaken with an excellent clinical outcome. A follow-up ultrasonogram at 2 years of age revealed no recurrence of the cyst. Laparoscopic deroofing of a hepatic cyst is, accordingly, a simple, safe, and effective procedure in infants.
