Abstract
Depending on the language area affected, names of aphasia types differ in the literature. Among them, fluent types of aphasia are generally associated with comprehension deficit varieties, fluent speech with grammatically tangled sentences, and impaired repetition and naming abilities. The other cited hallmark is the paragrammatic aspects of patients' speech characterized by the substitution of grammatical morphemes. However, research describing these aspects in English and closely related languages may be misleading, since some of these characteristics have been preserved in typologically different languages. As an agglutinative language, Turkish has structural characteristics which differ from languages like English.
