Abstract

We introduce the concepts of Landau's Fermi Liquid theory to the description of electronic properties of solids. As an extreme case where this phenomenological theory is applicable, we present the class of materials, called Heavy Fermions. We will discuss qualitative aspects of their physical properties and also give a theoretical foundation of the quasi-particles.
