Abstract

The combination of sorption procedures and biodegradation of PCB-contaminated ground water is presented. The efficiency of PCB removal in the laboratory and pilot-scale technology is compared. Physical procedures dures used were: sorption on bentonite, active carbon, carbon fibre tissue and polymers D1V1, CME and Ostion. Biodegradation was carried out by the indigenous cocultures isolated from the polluted sites of the Czech Republic.
