Abstract

The subject of research is a complex of social relations in the horticultural industry that arise in the process of providing the rural population of the region with social support through the use of new information and communication technologies. The purpose of the work is to identify methodical tools that contribute to improving the eff ectiveness of social support to the rural population specializing in horticulture. As a result of the research, it was found that the decreasing number of labor resources specializing in horticulture in the Chelyabinsk region can be replenished by settlers from other regions and immigrants. A comprehensive assessment of the impact of demographic and economic factors on the level of employment of the rural population of the Chelyabinsk region is brought to attention. It is proposed to increase the number of labor resources of working age and the eff ectiveness of this proposal is assessed based on the diagnosis of labor resources and the level of employment of the rural population specializing in horticulture in the Chelyabinsk region, the estimation of its number. It is emphasized that labor resources in horticulture include the able-bodied rural population of working age. Therefore, labor growth requires an increase in employment through inactive rural population or increased migration. With the help of the analysis of the dynamics of employment in horticulture of the Chelyabinsk region in 2021–2022, a regression model has been developed that demonstrates a reducing trend in the share of the employed rural population in the total economically active population.
