Abstract

Relevance. The issue of increasing the efficiency of personnel use is an important national task, the solution of which provides domestic enterprises with the ability to survive and develop in the face of intense international competition. For all business entities, it is important to identify factors that contribute to the growth of personnel efficiency, and tools that allow you to manage these factors. The use of the labor productivity category is a promising tool for improving the efficiency of mining employees and, thus, is an important factor in ensuring their competitiveness and viability. The purpose of the research is to identify the possibilities of using employees of the category “labor productivity” for managing the activities, show the advantages and justify the need for its introduction into the economic mechanisms of managing mining enterprises. Research methodology. The methods of structural-functional analysis, scientific generalization and production experiment were used. Results. The distinctive characteristics of the category “labor productivity” are given, the expediency of its use in the management of personnel activities is proved. The relationship between the management of the productivity of employees and the level of viability of a mining enterprise is shown (ME). The characteristics of the internal environment of the ME are presented, which remove the restrictions associated with the measurement of this category. The conditions and socio-economic models of relations between the employees of the ME were determined, in which the advantages of using the category of labor productivity are manifested. The advantages of using the category of labor productivity to improve the efficiency of the ME, ensure the viability and competitiveness of the latter are revealed. The classification of the behavior types of the internal producer and consumer is shown depending on the stability of the environment in which the enterprise operates. Conclusions. The use of the concept of “productivity” as a managerial category in the system of socio-economic relations of the ME allows you to manage the utility-cost ratio at all stages of the production cycle, provides new opportunities for identifying and eliminating losses, and increases the competitiveness and viability of the enterprise.
