Abstract

Labor and social development are interdependent in terms of employment absorption directly to the reduction of unemployment, and alleviating poverty. There is some labor problematics in Indonesia, the urgent one is discrimination of women workers. The duality of the labor sector is also an important concern as it relates to the government's focus on realizing integrated economic’s development. In addition, government regulatory implementation still contains inconsistencies between national and international regulation and the existence of misappropriation due to impacts of decentralization. Thus, comparison between Indonesia and other countries workers condition might be used for further develoment view.
