Abstract

Abstract: During the second half of 2009, the National Research Council of Italy has decided to submit its own scientific institutions to an evaluation process, performed by several international evaluation Committees. The whole process (which had a cost > 1 million euros) has been completed by March 2010. In several cases the Commitees have suggested the need of quite strong reorganisations. Until now, no effect is apparent.
