Abstract
THE MEDICAL TOPOGRAPHY OF MATEAR AND IST AREA BY ANTONI FRANQUESA I SIVILLA (1862-1906): The medical topography of Mataró, by the local doctor Dr. Antoni Franquesa i Sivilla, was presented by its author to the prize of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Barcelona in 1888. Dr. Franquesa, despite his ephemeral life, he was a prominent figure in the professional and political spheres of the city, and recognized with a street that bears his name.
