The purpose of this article is to identify the relationship between the process of eliminating gender inequality in the professional sphere and the process of feminizing the names of professions in French language. The article explains why the names of some professions are easily feminized, while the names of others remain resistant to this process. Feminitives from the spheres of politics, administration, diplomacy and military affairs, and presented forms of appeals to women holding positions in these areas are also analyzed. The authors come to the conclusion that the process of feminization in language is inevitable, since it directly depends on the growing role of women in society and in the professional environment. Along with the language, in turn, also influences the acceptance of a woman in a professional environment, since it has all the necessary means for forming feminine gender-specific job title.
