Abstract
The Presence of Francisco de Quevedo in the Latin-language Treatises of the 17th and 18th Centuries This article studies the presence of allusions to Francisco de Quevedo in treatises written in Latin during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. A distinction is made between literary treatises and treatises on other branches of knowledge (Theology, Philosophy, Law). Many of Quevedo’s literary works served as examples in treatises on very varied subjects. The study shows that Quevedo was not only valued as a prose writer and poet, but also as a thinker, especially by historians of philosophy during the eighteenth century.
