Abstract

This paper presents problems existing in many Argentinean Municipalities, it analyses different cases in the context of the decentralization policies for social housing within the global action agenda. A quick look will be taken to the implications of the State reforms and the presence of the directives of the international agencies in the national policies; from here, we will move to the local level to study the institutional and operative capacity when facing the changes. Finally, a mini - agenda is developed from the Municipality housing management considering the governability needs and the renewed patterns of local development.
