Abstract

The solution of problems in medicine requires some fundamental elements such as data representation, storage and retrieval of information, signal and image processing, expert systems in medicine, communication standards, patient records and medical records and multiple areas of application of the Medical Informatics, which have a direct impact on the quality of patient care.
