Abstract
Ethnomicology was defined as the branch of Ethnobotany that is dedicated to the study of the role of mushrooms. In view of the above and the fragmented knowledge about fungi in the Amazon region, this work aims to analyze the scientific knowledge produced on the importance of macrofungi to the environment, using consultation in electronic platforms. Thus, the bibliographic survey to obtain scientific articles and review was carried out in the electronic platforms Google academic, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), PubMed, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and MEDLINE (International Literature in Health Sciences). To do so, using a descriptive and exploratory approach, including the inclusion period 2012-2018. The is from macrofungoes play an important role in ecological balance, as decomposers of organic matter, besides being useful for nature, is also used by man for the use of drugs, medicinal, food and industrial.
