Abstract

The Earth sciences lind a new dimension with the technics of Remote Sensing. The black and white photography using inira red emulsions (shot through the so called infra red filters, namely Wratten n° 87) allows me to uncover many soil deficiencies, otherwise rather difficult to. The example of a crusted area in the vicinity of Pélissanne (B. du Rh.) demonstrates how, the Infra Red photography can formulate many problems and help for the secure of their solutions. However, selecting the proper solution can be reached only through the classical field work and laboratory analyses, scanning microscope for instance, (Trad. J. POUQUET)
