Abstract
An interview with Dr Robi Friedman, president of the Group Analytic Society International, briefly illustrating the history, recent developments, the increasingly international outlook and the cultural policies of this organisation towards the new generations of group psychotherapists. Introducing the next international congress of the Society in Berlin, it lays out the main points and structure, expression of the current group psychoanalytical thought. The choice of Berlin expresses a mindset of reconciliation and integration. The attendance of Italian practitioners is encouraged towards the construction of a European group analytical institution, genuinely capable of representing the complex richness of our continent and its unique viewpoint in the global discourse of group psychotherapy and psychodrama.
