Abstract

Abstract The Borne fault traversing the Borne granitic complex in the Central Massif, France, is characterized by evidence of renewed movement and successive phases of mineralization. Subsequent to injection of granulites, with which formation of the fault was associated, gold-and sulfide-bearing veins were formed. During the second phase of mineralization barite and some argentiferous galena were deposited in fractures of the fault zone. The final phase of mineralization was essentially one of fluorite formation.
