Abstract
A low/high voltage fault ride through technology scheme of offshore permanent magnet synchronous wind turbine generator (PMSG) is proposed. When the offshore PMSG operates during low/high voltage faults, the reason for the unbalanced power generation between the generator side and the grid side is analyzed, and the jump mechanism of the DC bus voltage is explored. The chopper circuit is connected in parallel with the DC bus capacitor to dissipate the unbalanced power through the unloading resistance, stabilize the DC capacitor voltage and reduce its fluctuation. According to the low/high voltage ride-through technical standards of China, the inverter station control scheme for offshore PMSG is designed, and the reactive power compensation strategy is proposed. the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by simulation.
