Abstract
Abstract The paragenetic association of sulfides and carbonates is studied experimentally for galena and calcite, by means of galena solubility measurements in a H 2 OCO 2 system. Ionic Pb carbonate and bicarbonate complexes are shown, and K D 's at 120, 150 and 180°C are calculated. The thermodynamic simulation of the behavior of a PbCa solution under CO 2 and H 2 S pressure, submitted to a degasing procedure is done using those data; this simulation leads to the precipitation of galena and (or) calcite.
