Abstract
The article intends to demonstrate how the method of philosophical inquiry and specifically one of its tools, namely the Question Quadrant, can be implemented in teaching English as a Foreign Language. First, the importance of questions in education and specific characteristics of philosophical questions are discussed. The next part provides the practical example of an EFL lesson with the application of the Question Quadrant. The article concludes with highlighting how philosophy can be correlated with other school subjects and its transdisciplinary role.
