The people of the Sangam age organized their lives with land first. In the nature of the five kinds of lands, the people lived on the basis of themes such as their village, deity, occupation, entertainment, etc. The Agam books have told us about love, illicit marriage, virtuous marriage, etc. Sangam literature is a rich repository of life ideas.
