Abstract

This article examines the development of the piano school in China, taking into account national and cultural characteristics and historical aspect. Special attention is paid to the influence of Western musical culture and Western musicians in the introduction of the piano. The first piano music schools and teachers in China are considered. The features of the Chinese approach to technique and interpretation on the piano are analyzed.
