Abstract
Purpose – In this research, it is aimed to determine the mediating role of self-efficacy in the perception of crisis and entrepreneurial intention. Design/methodology/approach – The population of the research consists of students studying in tourism faculties. During the data collection process, the convenience sampling method was used and have reached 247 students. The data of the study were collected by the face to face questionnaire technique. Study data were analyzed using the structural equation model. Findings – The results obtained that positive and significant relationship between the perception of crisis and the intention of entrepreneurship. In the same way, positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. Another important result of the study is that self-efficacy has a mediating effect on the relationship between crisis perception and entrepreneurial intention. Discussion – This study is important in terms of contributing to the literature and practitioners because of perception of crisis positively affects on entrepreneurship intention.
